DOHA OASIS

A 55-inch touch table presenting Doha Oasis, a project by Nabil Gholam’s architecture practice in Doha, Qatar. The table carries a 55-inch 4K screen (UHD, 4096 × 2160). Touch is handled by a projected-capacitive system with 40 touch points, which keeps the top extremely thin. Interactive LED backlighting is built into the thickness of that top: the light changes in real time in response to what is manipulated on screen.

My part covered the design of the lighting driver, the light animation driven by what is displayed (screen capture), and the communication with the web application.
