Role and delivery

Electronic design and software development for a lighting installation by Fred Sapey-Triomphe at the MEPIC festival. LEDs driven from a Raspberry Pi running Linux, in C, with the interface board designed for the piece. Driving LEDs from a single-board computer means going below the software layer: clocking a serial bus from Linux with low enough jitter that the eye sees no flicker, and drawing the board that adapts the electrical levels. It is work that straddles C and a soldering iron.
