/DATA/CENTER took shape 26 metres underground, in a nuclear shelter well known to Paris catacomb explorers, hosting Blackboxe and some twenty artist collectives for the length of a digital expo-party. Twenty-six alcoves of the bunker were freely occupied by the artists — DJs, VJs, performers and visual artists mixing music, projection and installation.
Blackboxe offered a KOPIMIST BAPTISM. An altar of USB prayer was installed to induct the kopimist padawans: bring your USB sticks, carrying or not carrying content you wish to share with the other members of the church, and let yourself be guided. A laser projection built on OpenLase, Jack Audio, Lasershark and a Barzi galvanometer, with a great many vector animations, accompanied the baptism.
